Balla Balla Community Centre provides a volunteer program that will strengthen peoples ties with the community and provides opportunities that can assist them long into the future.

Volunteering gives you the opportunity to practice and develop your social skills.  It helps build your confidence, skills and connects with others who can support you.

The National Standards – Aims & Principles

Requirements
  • Must have a Working With Childrens Check or be willing to get one
  • Must have a current Police Check or willing to get one
Recruitment & Selection
  • Volunteers undertake an interview to ensure volunteer requirements align with those of Balla Balla Community Centre
  • Volunteers are selected based on their skills, knowledge and interests relevant to the role to utilize their skills and experience to built their capacity and confidence
  • Provide current resume
  • Screening processes are applied to all volunteers that help maintain the safety and security of the volunteer, our users, employees, and Balla Balla Community Centre
  • Advise if volunteer role is to meet Service Australia (Centrelink) obligations.
